Children learn best by experiencing it. Therefore, Cloud9World built a social constructivist approach that enables students to experience and embrace positive character strengths. They learn from animal role models exhibiting a positive, inviting tone. The story format delivers a practical view of social-emotional behavior in school, at home and in the community. Direct instruction through literacy, discussion and experimentation inspires students to apply a real-world understanding through role play, decision-making, projects, presentations and everyday life.
Like rainfall, we land on multiple places from a single cloud.
Cloud9World builds a positive culture and common language throughout each school. Students learn character strengths naturally through their literacy experience with animals. Young children quickly associate memorable characters with character strengths they can understand and embrace. Eventually, students, teachers, administrators, support staff and parents all recognize, digest and express actions that support the character strengths. By saturating the campus with everything from t-shirts to stickers, buttons to banners, and posters to curriculum, Cloud9World furnishes everything needed to make each month a true celebration.
Cloud9World is a unique social and emotional learning program that integrates literacy as the vehicle for teaching character strengths. A series of beautifully illustrated books are used in both schools and homes. Character and reading assessments, individual application rubrics and wide-ranging activities and materials are included.
Our program is about the acquisition and strengthening of character , and the capacity to make wise choices for a well-rounded life and a thriving society
Cloud9World goes deeper. Students don’t just read it or hear it. They experience it. They explore, internalize, reflect and celebrate. They relate to the animals as children tend to do naturally, finding true heroes to model and opportunities to take action. The immersion program reshapes their perceptions of themselves and others. This puts Cloud9World in a class by itself.
